One of the first things many new cell phone owners want to do is change the ringtone. Making your own BlackBerry ringtones gives you the opportunity to make ringtones that nobody else has.
If you don't like any of the ringtones sold by your wireless carrier, or you just want to save some money, you could always choose to make your own BlackBerry ringtones.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 1.7
Bigasoft BlackBerry Ringtone Maker is an audio editing tool. It allows you to cut audio and video clips so that they can be used as ringtones for BlackBerry phones. This application has good format support, both for audio and video files. In the case of video files, their audio track will be played and after you are done editing it, the file will be saved into an MP3 file.
Using the application is quite easy. When you load a file, you will see that a bar fills up with a sort of histogram or timeline that represents the volume spikes of the audio file. Below that are two fields that read "Start time" and "End time". You can either set what part of the audio clip you want to save by manually adjusting those fields, or you can drag and drop the red square on the timeline above to set your selection. Both ways are very easy, but I personally prefer dragging and dropping.
A nice feature that this ringtone maker offers is volume enhancement. You can increase or decrease the volume of your audio file by using that feature. If you increase the volume too much, you might not get the best audio quality, though. |
